Bitwise is an annual online programming contest hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. A challenge for the world's best programmers to solve a set of tough algorithm-intensive problems in 12 hours, and notorious for its last-minute winning entries.

This year's competition was sponsored by Google, Inc., with nearly USD 2,500 up for grabs.
